SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend seniors will soon have a special place to hang out and socialize.
Today, the Portage Commons held its first open house, giving the public a chance to explore the new space designed to keep older adults active and engaged with their community.
The center is full of amenities designed with seniors in mind, including a multipurpose activity room for board games, arts in crafts, and even a weekly therapy dog.
Portage Commons will officially open its doors on April 1.
