Portion of Michigan Street to be closed starting Monday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Demolition work in South Bend will close down parts of Michigan Street.
The portion of Michigan Street near Beardsley Avenue will be closed for three days beginning Monday to accommodate demolition of the old Walter Piano building.
The street will be fully closed to prevent any damage from falling debris.
The street will likely reopen by Thursday, weather permitting.
