UPDATE: The boil water advisory has been lifted for residents around the city of St. Joseph.
ORIGINAL STORY:
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - A boil advisory has been issued within Lincoln Charter Township, Royalton Township, villages of Shoreham and Stevensville and a portion of St. Joseph Charter Township-west of the St. Joseph River-due to a water main break near Marquette Woods Road and Hickory Creek.
This advisory does not apply to the city of St. Joseph or St. Joseph Charter Township, east of the St. Joseph River (Fairplain).
Residents are asked to vigorously boil water for at least one minute if used for drinking, including water to make ice, cooking or oral hygiene.
The water department has located the break and restored the system pressure.
