Potawatomi Conservatories to unveil renovations

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend is cutting the ribbon on the newly improved Potawatomi Conservatories.

The city spent $1.2 million on the renovation project.

Improvements include new pipes, an entryway, new floors and windows, and even a new parking lot.

The Parks Department nearly closed the conservatories six years ago due to budget cuts and the cost of heating.

Friday's ribbon cutting is at 6:30 p.m.
