The zoo announced on Twitter Wednesday that a southern Ground Hornbill chick which hatched April 30, recently opened his eyes.
We had a #zoobaby! This southern ground hornbill chick hatched April 30. His eyes recently opened, and you can see the beginnings of feathers. Our keepers use physical and vocal cues when they feed him so he knows he's a hornbill. #birdsoftwitter#southerngroundhornbill#zoobornpic.twitter.com/4p16i3ewQ8
