SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Potawatomi Zoo's annual Zoo Boo trick-or-treating event comes back on October 20 through 22.

All paid admissions can a trick-or-treat around the zoo, ride the Haunted Train and take part in Zoo Boo attractions like the carousel and $3 giraffe feedings.

Trick-or-Treat Trail stations will be operated by local volunteers.

In an effort to environmentally conscious, the Potawatomi Zoo asks that visitors bring their own trick-or-treat bag to hold candy.

Zoo Boo hours are:

October 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Josh Sisk, the Executive Director of the Potawatomi Zoo, says Zoo Boo provides an opportunity for families to enjoy the zoo in a different way.

“This year, we’ll have trick or treat stations, plus great photo ops and fun activities like pumpkin bowling, food vendors, and photo booth," he said.

Zoo Boo will include local food and drink vendors such as:

Keim’s Elephant Ears, Papa John’s, Knights of Columbus, Professor Butterbeer, Randy’s Kettle Korn, and Tom’s Coffee Truck.

The zoo's concessions will also include state fair donuts, hot dogs, sandwiches and hot drinks.

Costumes are encouraged for adults and kids, but the zoo asks that visitors ages 15 and older do not wear a full face mask.

Regular admission is $12 per person, with babies under age 2 are free.

Zoo members receive a 50 percent discount on admission.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.
