Potential for heavy rain, flooding, and severe thunderstorms today

Stay weather aware on Wednesday. There are two rounds of impactful weather. The first is a round of heavy rain, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms, this morning. Ponding on roads or minor flooding is possible.  Remember not to drive through any standing water. Storms likely stay sub-severe this morning.

After a lull in the rain late morning, we move on to round two of impactful weather this afternoon and evening. More heavy rain is possible in this round. We also have the potential for gusty winds, which could categorize these storms as "severe." The heaviest rain is likely falling around the time of the PM commute. With heavy rain falling, visibility could be low.

A few showers linger into the late evening, then gradually taper off overnight. Thursday starts dry, but there is another round of rain and possibly storms in the afternoon. Friday is similar with isolated rain or storm chances, with more rain on Saturday. Sunday is looking mainly dry.

Today: Thunderstorms. Heavy rain possible. High 78.

Tonight: Showers early. Clouds clearing late. Low 68.

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Afternoon showers or storms. High 80.

Friday: Mostly sunny. PM storm chance. High 88.
