SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Many South Bend residents are waking up to no power, as damage to a power line cut off connections early this morning.
The fire happened just before 3 a.m. Saturday morning just off of Fellow St. and Donmoyer Ave. in South Bend.
Officials were able to put the fire out quickly but there is some damage to the line.
Homes affected by the power line fire are among the thousands of Michiana residents without power today as a result of winter weather.
It is unclear when power will be restored in these areas.
