Numerous customers are still facing power outages Tuesday following storms in Michiana on Monday.

Indiana Michigan Power

Indiana Michigan Power is reporting 600 customers without power as of 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Click here for the map.

Damage:

  • 64 broken or damaged poles
  • 160 downed wires
  • 14 damaged transformers


Berrien County:

  • 13 in the county


Elkhart County:

  • 200 in the county

La Porte County:

  • Fewer than 5 in the county

St. Joseph County, Indiana:

  • 90 in the county


Estimated restoration times:

  • 11 p.m. in South Bend area
  • 11 p.m. in Elkhart area
  • 11 p.m. in Buchanan area
  • 11 p.m. in Three Rivers area


NIPSCO

As of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, NIPSCO is reporting approximately 1,920 affected customers throughout Northern Indiana. Click here for the map.

  • 132 in Knox
  • 355 in Warsaw

NIPSCO estimates the majority of remaining customers will have power restored by 1 a.m. eastern time on Wednesday. Some customers in Angola, Culver, Goshen, Knox, Kewanna, Monterey, Syracuse, Rochester, and Warsaw may not have power restored until Wednesday evening due to downed lines and poles.
