Prairie Maze open at Potato Creek State Park

The Prairie Maze at Potato Creek State Park is now open. Visitors can walk through 1.75 miles of trails cut in the 7-foot tall prairie grass.

Throughout the maze, there are stations with clues about prairies. Those clues help you solve a word scramble puzzle.

Maze walkers should park at the west lot at the northwest corner of Worster Lake.

Maps of the maze will be available at the park entrance gate, park office and the nature center through the end of October.

There is also a photo contest this year. Visit the Potato Creek Facebook page for more info. Complete rules are under "notes."

Admission to the maze is free with the standard park admission fee of $7 for in-state vehicles and $9 for out of state vehicles.
