Presidential visit: What you need to know

President Donald J. Trump will be holding a rally at North Side Middle School gym in Elkhart around 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

President Trump will be arriving at South Bend International Airport around 6:15 p.m. and his motorcade will travel from South Bend to Elkhart. The route has not been released, so drivers should plan extra time in case of road closures for his travel to and from Elkhart.

Vice President Mike Pence will be arriving at South Bend International Airport separately. His motorcade will also travel from South Bend to Elkhart - but will use a different route. Drivers should plan extra time in case of road closures for his travel to and from Elkhart.

If you are in Elkhart, there are several road closures you will need to know about.

If you are taking the South Shore Train - there are delays expected because of the president's travel.
