ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Hoosiers can start making their voices heard in the 2024 presidential primaries Tuesday.
While the election is on May 7, there's nearly a month of early voting this year and there are also some changes to make things even easier.
With 42 vote centers across St. Joseph County, registered voters can cast their ballots at any convenient location.
St. Joseph County Clerk Amy Rolfes says they will need almost 700 election workers.
They are still looking for election workers for the May 7 primary, and you can be paid for it.
Shayla Kimbrough, a first-time election worker, is eager to lend a hand and help people exercise their constitutional right.
“This is our time to represent our country, so it's important for our generation to come out and vote and especially be a part of the process,” said Kimbrough.
Absentee and early voting for the primary begins tomorrow, April 9.
And if you're not a registered voter, you have until 11:59 p.m. tonight to register online.
