Prosecutor files murder charges in fatal accident
VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Van Buren County Prosecutor's Office filed second degree murder charges and several other charges against 22-year-old Eric Andrew Woodall in the crash that killed his cousin, 25-year-old Jason Woodall, on May 28th.
The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office has been investigating the fatal crash and determined Erik and Jason were driving in separate vehicles southbound on CR687 when there was intentional contact between the vehicles.
Jason lost control of his vehicle, it rolled over and he was killed. His 20-year-old passenger was injured.
Eric has been charged with second degree murder, operating while intoxicated causing death, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm.
He is being held in the Van Buren County Jail on $1 million bond.
