SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Protestors for Black Lives Matter South Bend held a demonstration Tuesday, just off the campus of Notre Dame.
The protest was in response to the university's law school inviting Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett and Israeli Supreme Court Justice Alex Stein to come speak on campus.
The university told ABC57 in a statement Tuesday:
"Academic freedom and freedom of expression are core to our mission as a Catholic research university, and we will defend these freedoms even when the content and/or the speakers are objectionable to some or even many."
