Over 1,000 Ibs of food donated to local pantries in Plymouth
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Plymouth Community School Corporation Transportation Department last week rallied together with the support Plymouth teachers, students, and residents to unite through acts of generosity.
Last week, they called on locals to donate in order to stock the shelves of Bread of Life Community Food Pantry, Marshall County Neighborhood Center, and Plymouth Wesleyan Church.
People donated at different spots, including school front offices, the Public Library, Butterfly Boutique, and Simply State Gifts. The initiative culminated in the "Stuff a Bus" event held at Martin's Super Market where residents donated items to a PCSC bus parked outside the store.
Donations totaled over 1,000 pounds with seven full boxes of food items being collected for each pantry listed.
