Purdue Broadband Team aiming to bring high-speed internet to underserved communities

Purdue University wants all Hoosiers to have access to high-speed internet and is asking residents to do their part to ensure that’s possible.

The Purdue Broadband Team stopped in St. Joseph and Elkhart counties Monday afternoon, urging residents to report their internet speeds to the state.

The team will then use that information to map out areas that are lacking, which will be used by the FCC to set aside money for communities in need.

Purdue Broadband will stop in all 92 Indiana counties as part of their efforts.
