We're off to another chilly start this morning with temperatures in the upper 20's and lower 30's, but we have a big warmup on the way this afternoon. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies will help highs warm into the mid 50's today. Lows fall back into the low to mid 30's tonight, it'll be a bit chilly getting out the door for your Monday morning. More sunshine returns to our skies tomorrow with even warmer temperatures, rising into the lower 60's by the afternoon.
The quiet weather won't last long, showers start early Tuesday morning with more thunderstorm activity expected Tuesday afternoon. Warm, moisture-rich air will be forced upward by a sharp cold front, destabilizing our atmosphere and making a severe risk present, mainly Tuesday evening. Additionally, temperatures will drop behind the cold front, bringing rain/snow Wednesday morning followed by gusty winds throughout the rest of the day. There are still many unknowns with this system, especially when it comes to severity and impacts - stick with ABC57 for updates.
Today: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Warmer. High 53.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 34.
Monday: Mostly sunny. High 61.
Tuesday: PM thunderstorms. High 68.
