Much needed rain finally returns to Michiana today after a long dry spell. Showers move in from the northwest, impacting areas near the Lake Michigan shoreline first around 8 AM EDT. South Bend should start seeing some showers around 10 AM, nearly everyone in Michiana sees rain by lunchtime. We'll be wettest midday as a cold front passes through the Midwest, temperatures following the front will fall from 70 throughout the afternoon. Showers end this evening with most of Michiana dry by 8 PM, we'll be sunny but cool and breezy tomorrow to start the work week. Tuesday looks to be rainy as well with thunderstorms possible, but the second half of the week brings mainly dry weather with a warmup - highs are back near 80 by Friday.
