A 59-point win isn’t enough for the Irish to forget about NIU
Wednesday was another dry day across Michiana, making it eight straight days without rain in South Bend.
It's the longest stretch without rain of the year so far, and it's meant gardeners have had to consistently water to keep flowers, fruits, and vegetables happy.
Fortunately, temperatures haven't been overly warm during our rain-free stretch. Because of this, the "drought stress" is relatively low compared to what it usually would be during the middle of August.
Finally, some rain is set to return to Michiana. Rain is in the forecast for Thursday, Friday and
Saturday with a slow-moving storm system meandering through the Midwest.
The best bet of heavy rain will be on Thursday, but some heavier downpours are possible on Friday and Saturday as well.
You'll likely be able to turn the hose or sprinkler off until at least Sunday, with more mild and dry weather possible to start next week.
