Raising money for community youth with pie

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Members of the St. Joseph County Police Department are hosting a fundraiser to raise money for the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County. Unlike most fundraisers though, this one involves taking a pie to the face.

Over the Edge is an event sponsored by the Youth Service Bureau to combat youth poverty, abuse, neglect, and homelessness in the Michiana area.

Sheriff Bill Redman, Warden Julie Lawson, and the Marvel Madness Over the Edge Team will be taking a pie as part of the fundraiser.

The event is happening Friday, September 11 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the St. Joseph County Jail, and anyone is welcome to participate.

All of the proceeds will be going to the Youth Service Bureau which helps teens in need in the community.
