Buchanan, Mich. -- On Friday at 4 p.m. the Redbud Motocross Stadium hosted an opening ceremony for the 2022 Motocross Des Nations.
Fridays event had the introduction of all the nation's teams at the starting line and a Pit Bike of Nations practice.
On Saturday and Sunday, 34 nations, 102 racers are racing in Buchanan Michigan for a chance to win the 75th running of Motocross Des Nations.
This will be the fifth time the event takes place in the United States, and the second time its being held at redbud.
"This is our fifth race in the United States, on to the 75, and this is the second race at Redbud of the Motocross Des Nations. If you remember, they were back here in 2018. And we were all standing ankle deep in mud, right, and this year it is perfect weather." Said Public Relations for Redbud MX, Pat Schutte.
"The competition this weekend is going to be incredible. You have three representatives from each of the 34 nations and each of those guys is literally the best racer from his given country." Schutte added.
For more information and to purchase tickets to the event, you can visit the Redbud MX website.
