Registered sex offender arrested after police find social media account under fake name
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – A registered sex offender was arrested Wednesday after police discovered he was allegedly in control of an unregistered social media account under a fake name, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Adam Macias is a registered sex offender convicted of child molesting and has a lifetime requirement to register as a sex offender every 90 days or within 72 hours of a change in information.
During an investigation, law enforcement discovered Macias had a social media account under a fake name that he did not register as required, according to reports.
Law enforcement found Macias at his Plymouth residence and took him into custody on the charge of failure to register as a sex offender.
He is being held at the Marshall County Jail on a $1,500 cash bond.
