REPORT: Jamie O'Brien outspent Dan Schaetzle by over $40,000 in County Council primary

ABC 57 ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Documents newly reviewed by ABC57 show a wide gulf in spending in one of the St. Joseph County Common Council primary races.
According to the documents, primary winner Jamie O'Brien outspent his incumbent opponent Dan Schaetzle by $41,624.14 since January 1. That breaks down to $10,568.39 for Schaetzle, and $52,192.53 for O'Brien.
Between both campaigns, that means nearly $63,000 was spent on this County Council race.
