Representative Walorski visits AM General, Honeywell

United States Representative Jackie Walorski, R-Ind. visited Honeywell and AM General Tuesday morning as part of her Defense Tour.

The Congresswoman visits Indiana cities to show the state's role in defense interests.

"I just think it is really important for Hoosiers to understand that Indiana has become a major player in defense. And when we talk about things like the defense budget, why is it important? We talk about the fact that Indiana leads in so many different arenas in our country. I'm not sure how many Hoosiers understand the assets that we have in our state," Congresswoman Walorski said.

Representative Walorski toured Honeywell's aircraft wheels and brakes manufacturing facility.

After that, she went to AM General's test track for a demonstration of a HMMWV(Humvee).

After she left Michiana, Congresswoman Walorski headed to Fort Wayne for several more stops.

On Wednesday, Congresswoman Walorski will be in Indianapolis for Veterans Day.
