Residents attacked with a shovel during home invasion

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police have arrested one person and are seeking another in a home invasion that early happened Monday morning at a home on Kenmore Avenue.
Police say 18-year-old Darin Brevard and a woman attacked the Kenmore Avenue residents with a shovel.
Brevard and the woman escaped in a van that was later found abandoned at a gas station.
Police say Brevard knew the homeowners and the incident was not random.
Brevard has been taken into custody.
