Residents find motorcycle crash victim deceased in their driveway
VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. --A resident in Porter Township contacted deputies after finding an unresponsive male in their driveway Monday morning. It appeared he was involved in a motorcycle crash, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office.
The victim was discovered in the 91000 block of M40 in Porter Township around 7:30 a.m.
When deputies arrived, they determine the victim, a 65-year-old man from Three Rivers, was traveling southbound on M40 when his motorcycle left the roadway, crashed into a "T" post and then a tree.
Deputies spoke with several homeowners in the area who reported hearing a loud noise around 11:40 the night before.
After hearing the noise, the residents went outside but were unable to determine the cause of the noise, reports said.
The crash remains under investigation.
