Reward offered for information in Boost Mobile robbery

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- There is a $500 reward for information leading to the identity and arrest of the suspect who robbed the Boost Mobile store on Pipestone Road, according to the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety.

The suspect was waiting outside the store in a dark corner of the building Monday evening as employees were closing the store.

He ordered the employees inside, took approximately $1200 in deposit money and a cell phone, then fled the store.

The Berrien County K-9 unit was called in to track the suspect but lost the scent about a block away.

The suspect was approximately 5'4" tall with a skinny build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and a white banana around his face.  He was carrying a semi-automatic handgun.

The BHDPS is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the identity and arrest of the suspect.
