Riley High School student may have meningitis

SOUTH BEND — A student at Riley High School is believed to have meningitis.

A letter was sent home Tuesday to parents of students.

It says while the risk to other students is quite low, parents should still be alert to signs of meningitis.

Those signs include fever, headache, stiff neck, confusion and sometimes a rash.

Parents who see these symptoms are advised to take their child to a doctor.
