SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Riley Leonard earns another award after his three-touchdown performance against Stanford.
The offense is starting to click at the right time thanks to Leonard's production in the pass game. In Stanford's win, he passed to nine different receivers, 229 yards, three touchdowns.
Those touchdowns caught by Tight End Eli Raridon, and receivers Kris Mitchell and Jayden Thomas for their first of the season.
"They did a great job of protecting the quarterback. Did a great job of quarterback making the right Decisions and confident and quick reads. Threw the ball well. Wide outs being exactly where they wanted to be," Head Coach Marcus Freeman said.
Leonard also used his legs for 31 rushing yards and his eighth rushing touchdown of the season, tying for fourth among FBS quarterbacks.
"A lot of it still comes down to preparation. I think, you know, they had a great idea of what they were going to see, and they saw it. And so, it was a reflection of a couple of those plays a reflection of exactly what they saw in practice," Freeman added.
