River now safe for recreational boats

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- The St. Joseph Harbor is open once again.

Over the weekend, dredging wrapped up on both commercial and recreational boating lanes.

Sand build-up in the St. Joseph River prevented access to Lake Michigan for the past couple of weeks.

We talked with Brian's Marina.

They told us enough money was raised to fix the harbor before a state work ban went into effect.
