Road between Berrien Springs and Eau Claire to see improvements

The Michigan Department of Transportation is honing in some dollars in western Michigan, helping the Berrien County Road Commission with some upgrades.

The journey from Eau Claire to Berrien Springs will be a little bit easier, especially with slick roads.

More than a million dollars are going toward Deans Hill Road improvements. It's a high traffic area with a few curves and hills.

The Berrien County Road Commission says it's been the site of a lot of crashes.

MDOT is chipping in $375,000 to the road commission. And the road commission is putting up the remaining $875,000.
