Road closure of US Highway 6 in La Porte County to take effect Monday

HAMLET, Ind. – Beginning on Monday, a portion of US Highway 6 in La Porte County will close down so that construction crews can repair the Kankakee River bridge.
Construction will last until May 14, pending the weather.
Motorists will be detoured via State Road 23, US 30 and US 35.
