ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—Road conditions are slick Monday morning even though lake effect snow has tapered off.
County travel advisories were issued for St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall, Kosciusko, and Fulton counties due to the weather.
Travel advisories mean that routine travel or activities may be restricted in certain areas due to driving hazards. The travel status for each county is decided by its individual emergency management agency.
The U.S. 31 bypass was briefly closed on Monday morning due to road conditions. It has since reopened.
