Road projects to watch out for this week

MICHIANA -- Construction projects are starting all across Michiana this week from Mishawaka to Goshen.

Those driving in Mishawaka Monday better prepare for some delays.

Lincolnway East between Capitol and Byrkit is closing down bright and early at 7 a.m.

It's only for a week, though, and there will be detours posted.

But folks who drive this road a lot say the city really needs to move this project along!

"It makes you wonder who's actually in charge of the project and why there is a delay," said Bruce Butgereit.

This part of the project should be done by Friday, as long as the weather cooperates.

Road work is also continuing at the corner of Cleveland and 933 just into the Roseland limits.

Crews have been out there since the beginning of the month updating traffic signals.

The lanes are closed at different times of the day in different directions, so just be prepared!

The work is supposed to be done by the end of August.

And streets near Dickerson Landing in Goshen are getting a makeover too.

Starting Monday morning  First Street will be closed all the way from Pike to Wilkinson Street.

It's to help crews continue the Dickerson Landing Neighborhood Project.

The street will be closed for around one month.
