Road-side mowing operations begin week of May 12 in Berrien County

Lane County

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Countywide mowing along county-maintained public roads will begin the week of May 12, the Berrien County Road Department announced Friday.

"Crews shall be mowing along the road right-of-way to ensure clear vision," BCRD Communications Coordinator Adri Boone said. "If you come across mowing taking place along a roadway, be cautious as this is a moving mowing operation. Equipment moves slowly and may be required to back up or maneuver around permanent obstacles."

The BCRD says crews will begin on primary roads before working their way throughout the entire county.

"If you view a vision hazard, please report those to the Road Department directly," Boone said,

Questions or concerns should be directed toward the BCRD offices at 269-925-1196.
