Road work on US 421 to start June 12

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind.—INDOT is set to begin patching work on U.S. 421 in LaPorte County on Wednesday ahead of a planned resurfacing project.

Patching will take place in two phases.

In the first phase, crews will patch the southern corridor of the project between I-94 and State Road 2. INDOT said the work could take up to two weeks, weather permitting. 

During the second phase, crews will patch the northern portion, from I-94 to U.S. 20.

Following the patching work, resurfacing will take place.

During the road work, flaggers will direct one lane of traffic where the work is taking place.
