Robbers nab $20,000 worth of smartphones in Stevensville

STEVENSVILLE, Mich. -- Buyer beware! 80 smartphones were stolen from the Verizon Wireless store in Stevensville.

That's about $20,000 worth!

Police told us the robbers smashed through the front door.

Verizon says the phones aren't worth anything now.

The store reported the serial numbers, so they can't be activated.

"If anybody's looking for phones on Craigslist, or eBay, or anything like that, always ask for the serial numbers. We can run the serial number and see if it's clean or not,” said Jon Mankowski from Verizon Wireless.

Verizon's stock was wiped out, but the store expects to get another shipment on Wednesday.
