GRANGER, Ind. – Female golfers gathered on Monday to help out women facing domestic abuse.
The annual YWCA “Run, Jane, Run” golf tournament was held at the Knollwood Country Club.
High profile participants included Notre Dame Women’s Basketball coach Muffet McGraw.
McGraw said, “The thing I love about it is women supporting women. It just, we need to do that so much more in our community and nationally as well.”
McGraw also chairs the charity tournament.
All of the proceeds go toward the women and children who receive domestic violence shelter and services from the YWCA.
The YWCA services Elkhart and Saint Joseph Counties and helps almost 2,000 women and children safety escape abusive relationships every year.
