Safe Kids offers free car seat check

GOSHEN – A free car-seat check will take place Saturday, sponsored by Safe Kids Elkhart County and Eby Ford Lincoln Mercury of Goshen.

The drive-through event will be conducted between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. inside the dealership’s service area, 2714 Elkhart Road. Certified child passenger safety technicians will evaluate car seats in use and help make sure children are riding safely in vehicles.

The event is open to community and drive-ups are encouraged. Parents or caregivers who want to participate in the event but need a specific appointment time may call (574) 523-2112 to schedule.

For residents unable to attend the clinic, a fitting station is available during business hours at the Elkhart County Health Department, 608 Oakland Ave., Elkhart. For more information, visit elkhartcountyhealth.org/safekids.php.
