SOUTH BEND, Ind. – In an effort to restock the shelves for summer, the Salvation Army Kroc Center will host a “Christmas in July Food Drive” starting on Saturday.

The organization says the donations will benefit the Family Resource Center at the Kroc Center.

Most sought after donations include:

• Toilet paper
• Canned beans
• Boxed cereal
• Dish soap
• Shampoo
• Laundry detergent
• Canned fruit
• Paper towels
• Non-perishable food items

According to the Salvation Army, the FRC’s food pantry serves an average of 60 families every week.

The food drive runs through July 13.
