Saturday morning shooting leaves one dead, three injured in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- One person is dead and three people are injured after an early morning shooting Saturday. 

Police say it happened in the 1200 block of E. Cedar around 3:52 a.m. 

According to South Bend Police, a man identified as Edward Lavelle McCurry, 34, is dead. The shooting also injured three women.

The three women do not have life threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, police said. 

An autopsy is scheduled for McCurry on Monday.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is still investigating the shooting.
