SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Just a couple of days after wrapping the All-Star break in style, the South Bend Cubs are already in the thick of the season once again.
This week's series with the Bowling Green Hot Rods marks the start of the season's second half, a clean slate for the Cubs who, despite a valiant push, failed to secure a first-half playoff berth.
