S.B. Officer ionjured by a car Saturday afternoon identified

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Police officer injured Saturday afternoon while assisting a traffic accident has been identified.
South Bend Police sent out this text alert around 4:30 p.m. "Sgt. Brian Kendall injured while assisting a traffic accident in good spirits with a leg injury. Get well soon, Brian!"
Sgt. Kendall was injured after one of the cars involved in the accident rolled into his leg.
It happened around noon on Portage Road.
Kendall is the School Resource Officer at Riley High School.
