SBPD: Attempted moped robbery video leads to suspect arrest

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- We have an update on a story we first brought you back in April.

Remember this video? It first gained national attention when a South Bend man stopped a robber from taking a moped in the alley behind his house. You can see the suspect firing several shots during the confrontation, but luckily, the homeowner was not hurt.

Since then, South Bend police have gotten several tips about the identity of the suspect.

On Tuesday, officer said they caught their criminal. Police arrested 18-year-old Joshua Kneeland at a home in the 700-block of N. Cottage Grove Ave.

He faces charges of robbery, criminal recklessness, and possession of a firearm.
