Shooting on Western Avenue injures 18-year-old
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Investigators are looking into a shooting that happened Saturday night.
According to the South Bend Police Department, that incident took place at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday night in the 1100 block of W. Western Avenue.
Officers were alerted to the shooting through ShotSpotter.

Upon arrival, police found property damage but initially were unable to locate a victim.
After a short time, police learned that David Pruitt, 18, arrived at a hospital with a back injury.
Pruitt is reported to be in serious condition at an Indianapolis hospital with a possible life-threatening wound, police say.
Investigators learned there was a party at the time before shots were fired.
South Bend Police Investigative Bureau is handling the case.
