SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The city of South Bend wants to see more faces out at local parks this summer.
South Bend Venue Parks and Arts will host its Boomin’ Parks Tour again, after a great turnout last year.
The tour features a series of lessons and programs that bring kids together to have fun, but also learn about important topics like healthy eating habits, physical fitness and social unity.
‘Boomer’ is the van the city uses for the tour. It’s complete with a stage, microphones, speakers and a video screen to put on the programs. Kids are invited to come out and get involved, while spending time with other kids their age.
The city hopes these fun, interactive lessons will stick with kids long after Boomer leaves the park.
You can find the full schedule for the tour on the Venue Parks and Arts website.
