The Better Business Bureau has issued a warning about scam callers who claim to be representatives of Indiana Michigan Power.
Reports warn customers that scammers are using scare tactics by threatening to turn off people’s electricity for bills that have not been paid on time.
Scammers are attempting to acquire personal information from victims who fear their power will be shut off.
Anyone receiving calls of this nature are urged to call the Indiana Michigan Power service line. Indiana residents can call 800-311-4634 and Michigan residents can call 800-311-6424.
