Scattered weekend showers

The first day of August is mild. Temperatures warm slowly, reaching a high in the mid 70s this afternoon. Partly cloudy skies early turn mostly cloudy by this afternoon. There are a few scattered showers throughout today, but there are still some times you can get outside between showers.

There is a better rain chance this evening. A rumble of thunder is also possible overnight.

Sunday there is a slight chance for showers throughout the day, but the entire day won’t be a wash.

Rain and thunderstorms are more widespread Monday. Aside from a few showers lingering early Tuesday morning, the rest of the week looks dry. Most of Michiana will see around half an inch to one inch of rain now through Tuesday morning.

Temperatures will stay in the mid 70s early this week, then warm to the low 80s by next weekend.
