School requires background checks for visitors

FRANKFORT, Ill. -- Anyone planning to visit  a school in the suburbs of Chicago will have to pass a back-ground check before they are let inside.

The new rule comes as a preventative measure after the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy.

Anyone who is visiting the building needs to have their driver's license or a state ID handy or they will not be let in.

"I even noticed when we had our fireman the other day, he even had to go through the process of the sticker," said Karen Monaco, Teacher.

So far teachers and parents are not complaining about the extra protection measure in the schools.
