Scooter/hoverboards recalled after fire hazard identified, two deaths reported

SOUTH BEND, Ind.- A line of self-balancing scooters/hoverboards is being recalled following the reports of two deaths, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

According to the report, Jetson Electric Bikes recalled the 42-volt Rogue Self-Balancing Scooters/Hoverboards because the lithium-ion battery packs can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

Approximately 53,000 units were sold at Target stores nationwide.
